Thomas Bijen

Thomas Bijen (1980) is a Dutch Artist from small roots, but with great ambitions. For the past ten years he has been living and working from his studio in The Hague, The Netherlands. In 2007 Thomas acquired his Masters of Science in Industrial Design Engineering at the Technical University of Delft. Coming from a diverse background originating in the creative technical sciences, the arts have always been his prime interest.

The label Thomasbijen.com is a collection of exclusive drawings using varying media. More recently, he has been commissioned to create his art live to the public, through murals and large art objects. For Thomas, creating art is an expression of his quest for mystery, playfulness and innocence, in which he strives to recapture his childhood days.

Royal Chess

The art project ‘Royal Chess’, two kingsize chess pieces, welcomed the new King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. During the summer of 2013 they were part of the larger exhibition “Ingehuldigd!” at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.

House of 99, London

Thomas assumes besides his own label a lead design role at House of 99 where he is responsible for creating and crafting the fine art photography for sale.
