The free bird garden. On Sunday 9 May, my garden is open from 12.00 to 17.00. You can see birds, made of papier-mâché, silver and ceramics.
Beekhuis was educated at the art academy in Rotterdam, until 1980, with Gust Romijn among others. For a long time she lived in Amsterdam where she worked on assignment. Three years ago she came to Charlois, where she makes free work in her studio at the interface of art and design. Now she mainly works with silver, oil paint and paper mache. Corona inspired her to make a series in a “bird garden”.
Do you like to see what I have in my studio? Loo at my funny film, made by Rick Witlox. Or look at insta, Christine Beekhuis.
