Nada van Dalen (1983) is a Rotterdam fashion designer with a predilection for the frayed edges of society. In her work she tries to elevate the imperfections of life into a form of shadowy beauty. With her label NADA VAN DALEN she continually searches for the boundaries in ready-to-wear.
Currently Nada van Dalen is working on Halte Charlois: a project about (Oud-)Charlois and her people, in which she tries to catch and document the character of the neighborhood.
Inspired by the Rotterdam gabber culture, Nada van Dalen designed the collection 'Poverty for Poverty' with a large hardcore manifestation on the Schouwburgplein in collaboration with Roodkapje, including performances by the Rotterdam Terror Corps.
Her collection 'Immergeradeaussie' was nominated for a fashion prize by the Festival international de mode et de photographie, Hyères (Festival d'Hyères - Villa Noailles).
